My perception of bees has changed. I used to be deathly afraid of being stung as a child, and would run away screaming in terror any time a bee came around me! As I've learned more about the essential workings of bees, my appreciation has grown and I'm also less afraid and more observant. These beauties hold a special place in my heart lately. 

 

The bees are cut from an abstract study in my art journal and then embellished with collage. Many layers of texture and glazes create depth and an ethereal glow. Finished with gloss pouring medium. Signed and titled on back. Hanging hardware attached.

"Instead of dreaming" is a square painting of a pair of bees busily collecting nectar among open blooms. Fiery oranges and deep umbers are warm and embracing against inviting soft magnolia petals. Place this in a special nook where you can pass by each day and be reminded of the beauty in nature and appreciating the small moments in life.

 

This painting was created as a part of my “Dreamscapes” collection in the early months of 2022.
 

Choose to have this painting reproduced on Legion matte photo paper, watercolor paper or gallery wrapped canvas. 

 

PRINTED TO ORDER - please allow some time for my printer to create your print, which can take anywhere from 5-10 days, depending on production schedules.
