I love creating an original painting for someone who is looking for a unique and personalized statement for their home. I find it a huge compliment to be asked to create a piece of art and believe the experience should be very personal and have special meaning.
"I have always been enamored of Jen Singh's artwork. I have a few of her earlier works that I cherish. When she started focusing on animals a bit more, they just spoke to me. My friend has an owl painting on her mantle that I have always been a bit jealous of!
One day, I walked in to Garage Door Studio and fell in love with one of her horse paintings. I marched up to the desk and said, "I need that horse painting!". Sadly, someone had JUST bought it. Ugh. Then, Jen said that she could do a commission piece of my own personal horse, Blind Hope. Even better!
I sent Jen various pictures of BH so that she could "get to know him". She even offered to go visit him in his pasture! So sweet. Well, she nailed it. The painting that she created for me was absolutely perfect. Even the subtle, but still vibrant colors that she chose worked perfectly in my house. Jen captured his sweet eyes, dopey ears, and general laissez fair attitude, and makes me so happy whenever I look at it. I am SO HAPPY with my Blind Hope painting!"

Feels like magic
Sure, it seems like an overly simplistic explanation of how we feel about the pieces Jen did for us, but it tells the whole story. We had recently purchased our new house which has a very large dining room. After settling in on two very nice sideboards we knew we needed large pieces to hang over them. We shopped around, but nothing seemed to finish the room. The room as mentioned was large and most the furniture and walls were darker and simple. We reached out to Jen and asked if we could discuss commissioned paintings. She came over, reviewed the room, and we discussed what we were hoping for. In a brief time she was back with numerous color combination palettes. My wife and could not agree and ultimately decided on two of them. Then she showed up with both of our 40x40 paintings. We hung them on the wall and stood there stunned. Bright, Dark, Colorful, Moody. Needless to say they made the room! I have to confess, my favorite one was from the colors I chose (but have to also admit my favorite one changes often)! I am by no means an art critic, but love showing them off to everyone who comes over. I see it in their eyes…WOW! - Andrew LaRocco "Feels like magic" 40x40" mixed media on canvas
Lightness of being
I love Jen’s work so it was easy to commission a piece with my spirit animal, the dragonfly. My only ask was bright colors. Jen checked in to collaborate on size and ideas, but I was really open, and what she created exceeded what I hoped for. These dragonflies now hang in the heart of our home and reminds me each day of how I am connected to them. I am grateful to Jen for capturing that. - Tricia Hernandez "Lightness of being" 24x36 mixed media on canvas
